About Us

Rain Barrel Guys was started in late 2009 by David Nicolato. David and his son, Jacob (thus Rain Barrel Guys) love being outdoors and maintaining their garden. Because of this passion, David started attending courses on living a more green and sustainable lifestyle. His interest in green living introduced him to Rainwater Collection Barrels.

David immediately became interested in Rain barrels, but was frustrated by the retail cost of the barrels. Because of this and his love for remodeling homes, David worked hard to develop a product that was more cost effective and held more water than the commercial brands. 

He received so much praise for his rain barrels that he was immediately encouraged by family, friends and neighbors to offer the barrels to a broader audience! Now David sells his rain barrels all over the DFW area, in particular at farmer's markets and other green living events! 

Located in Lantana, TX, west of Highland Village, David is an active member of the Stay at Home Dads of Greater Dallas.
